As you recall, my campaign started with China. Let's look at what we know to date. China is a direct threat to our national security. We are allowing the to purchase our oil and gas assets from Chesapeake, Chevron and others. They are full partners with Exxon. Let's look at the farm land, timber lands, and other that we are selling to the Chinese Government through organizations like BlackRock. It's time we put our National Security and the interests of American Cititzens first.
I would like to give a special heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported me during the primaries. As a political outsider, I was overwhelmed with the level of support I received from my fellow Texans. I know there's at least a half million Texans that are just as tired of politics as usual as I am. I am working with a group of supporters that have reached out since the March 5th Primary to begin a new Texas first/America first PAC. It is time that we hold our elected officials accountable. We have potential candidates in Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, New York, Ohio, Wyoming, Colorado, and California gearing up for a 2026 run. We will be launching a website soon, but until then, subscribe here and I will keep you up to date on the progress. I will be sending invites to our zoom meetings and newsletters with updates. It will take everyone of us to change the future of this great nation, and Texas will lead the way.

The term Railroad Commission of Texas is an Oxymoron. We have absolutely nothing to do with the rail system in the U.S. or Texas, as that falls under Department of Transportation jurisdiction.
The Railroad Commission of Texas is the regulatory and oversight agency for the oil and gas, mining, and pipeline industries. The RRC's primary duty is to make sure that all operators are operating within the rules and guidelines set forth by the Texas legislature with emphasis on safety and environmental stewardship.
That's a great question. I have spent the past 18 years working in various segments of the oil and gas industry. I have had great mentors throughout my time in the field. One thing that I have learned over the years is that everything is not what it seems. Just because a company orders a certain thing, does not mean they get exactly what they ordered.
The best qualification I can think of is that I am not an attorney. I actually believe in taking action and getting the job done, instead of kicking the can down the road for someone else to deal with. Government doesn't need anymore attorneys, there's already plenty of staff attorneys to critique what is being written and passed. Let's keep them busy by letting those with actual field experience create policy that does away with any special interest groups.
Jim Matlock is a native Texan that proudly served his country as a
U. S. Marine and is ready to serve the people of Texas by protecting the independent property owners, the individual mineral owners and the independent producers of oil and gas in our state as the next Commissioner for the Railroad Commission of Texas.
Jim gained leadership skills as a member of an anti-terrorist unit of the United States Marine Corps. One of the first things he noticed about the oil and gas industry was the vulnerability of our critical infrastructure. Jim has eighteen years field experience in oil and gas; from title work, to truck supervisor, to small business owner and consultant.
Jim's most profound quote is, "Don't tell me there's an energy crisis when I am still seeing waste."
Jim is running to reduce/eliminate oilfield waste, and give every Texan a voice on oil and gas policy.
Five facts about Texans
1. Texans are proud of their oil and gas heritage.
2. Texans enjoy their waterborne recreation.
3. Texans deserve a clean water supply.
4. Texans embrace new and more efficient technology.
5. Texas should have the strongest, most secure and most reliable electric grid in the U. S.
Our resources are precious. I'm not just talking about the oil, gas, and coal. I'm talking about our water supply. It's time the oil and gas companies begin recycling their waste water for use in future frac jobs. It takes between 1.5 and 9.8 million gallons of water to frac one stage of a well. Currently, they are pulling most of that water from our surface and ground water sources. There's technology that would clean the water to irrigation quality. That would allow the oil and gas industry to benefit farmers and ranchers by providing water during drought situations. Irrigation quality water could be released into the environment. The industry produces an average of 588 million gallons per day of water that is injected into zones that are not capable of producing hydrocarbons.
While the flare stacks are mesmerizing at night, we are missing out on a great opportunity. Last year alone, we flared sixty-eight (68) billion cubic feet of natural gas. Why? Because Texas PUC and ERCOT refuse to give permits to sell electric into the grid when it is generated from what would be flare gas. It takes 250 mcf per day to generate 1.5 Mw/H. There's new technology that could capture all flare gas and create products without any waste.
Now, let's talk about the solids waste generated from the oil and gas industry. That waste can be cleaned up enough to meet EPA and TCEQ regulations for road base. Instead, that waste is placed in poly lined landfills; creating an environmental hazard for future generations.
Finally, we need to address the orphaned/abandoned wells that are aging without any maintenance or oversight.
Having worked so many years within the industry, especially the last 5 years on the environmental side, James has been exposed to a lot of new technology. It's time we put this technology to use.
Jim is jumping into the Political arena and running to become the next commissioner for the Railroad Commission of Texas on behalf of every Texan.

Your donation will help us travel across the state to various festivals and fairs. The people we will meet at these events are our voter base. We will be attending industry related event; however, we want to speak with the people of Texas. We want to watch the livestock shows and support our youth. They are the future of this great state.
Take a moment to tell us of any upcoming events in your town so we can reserve a booth.
The 2024 Primaries are over and I will not be on the ballot in November. That doesn't mean that I am going away or that I have abandoned my fellow Texans. I will continue to be a thorn in the side of those who are listening to the economic team over what Texans really want.
Become outspoken at your schoolboard meetings, city council meetings, county commissioner meetings and tell them that you demand they listen to you over the economic teams. That's what is wrong with our country today. Too many people listening to the economic team who thinks they should be able to tax the air you breathe and
